Yeah, we hope to get a more complete run-down from Justin soon. I think he had some connectivity issues throughout the weekend. Eventually I think he just decided not to stress about it and focus on the fun instead. probably a wise choice.
Great coverage over at HT and YEMblog. Your on-site twitter updates were often faster than the band’s! lolz.
the live audio stream and live status updates really made this weekend interesting. I felt like I experienced the festival in a way, albeit in a very different way than actually being in Indio. I think it’s a trend that will continue to emerge and progress. throw a webcast option into the mix and thing are bound to get really interesting.
We’ll see what happens, Whit. I do hope the band offers more broadcasts, but if I was a betting man I’d say it’s still pretty unlikely and if they do offer more they will probably continue to be audio-based. Regardless, it was fun as hell listening to the sets and chatting with our readers as the music was happening.
