Justin will be heading out on the road to Festival 8 this morning, so I’ll be taking over full blogging duties for the weekend (weee!). Hopefully, we’ll get some updates from him along the way, but knowing the chaotic nature of the festival environment, I don’t think we’ll set our expectations too high.
For now, here are few Phish-related links and updates to get the day started right…
Did this actually happen on Conan last night? Slightly surreal, and just plain silly:
Musical Costume Updates…And then there were 9:
1. David Bowie | Hunky Dory
2. Genesis | The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway
3. Jimi Hendrix | Electric Ladyland
4. King Crimson | Larks’ Tongues In Aspic
5. MGMT | Oracular Spectacular
6. Michael Jackson | Thriller
7. Prince | Purple Rain
8. Radiohead | Kid A
9. Rolling Stones | Exile on Main Street

Check out audio of Trey discussing past Halloween shows with musical costumes and throwing out an esoteric tease for the album they plan to cover (I’m not even going there).
Did you miss JamOn’s Phish Festivalography series? Hey, it’s the Internet, of course you can grab ‘em: Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4
(for an alt. source, check out TrapedinTime)
Check out Twitter’s #fest8 hashtag for some entertaining Phish-related status updates throughout the weekend…they’re already flowing rapidly.
The latest in Phish geekery? A new iPhone App for sets and stats.

So what else is going on out there in Phish La-La Land?
