Coachella 2007 Webcast

AT&T will once-again be webcasting from this year's Coachella Music Festival. There isn't any schedule posted yet but I'm sure they'll hit the high points (meaning, Rage Against the Machine).

"Placing the obligation to respect one’s own symbolic significance aside for a moment, does anybody else see the irony in a band called Rage Against The Machine reuniting to headline a $250 music festival?" -- well said.

I just checked the schedule on blue room, anxiously anticipating checking out today's Coachella action and what to my wondering eyes did appear? Um, am I going nuts? I must be on the wrong site............You're not going to webcast Rage Against the Machine???????? Thank YOU, blue room. Rage hasn't played together in seven years and you give us the Lemonheads. Bravo. Here's another site I no longer need to visit.....

im more than pissed.

if at&t blueroom is behind this, im boycotting at&t for the rest of my life.

if rage is behind this, i love them that much more.

hypocritical?

ATT is a corporation, owned by Time AOL Warner...with sponsors that have their agendas and loathe Rage and what we represent...so could we have it any other way? Thanks AT and Effing T...I will never support you or your goonsquad, Wallmart mediocre, rightwing WASP, statusquo, Oreily conservative bullshit, ever again...

This is absolute bullshyte!!!! AT&T blueroom advertised all over the radio about webcasting the coachella festival and all we get is freaking Amos Lee when RATM is on the set. Absolute bull/ I will never again view a AT&T blue room sponsored event online. (comment moderated)

Are we sure RATM won't just be shown later? like is there a drag going on the webcast cuz Amos Lee was suppposed to play much earlier like 2 to 1 1/2 hours before RATM. they couldnt possibly not play rage could they?

..i think i'm going to cry now...

seriously. this is the biggest fault any streaming site can do. have mercy with them, cause they don't know what they do...fuckers!

Blue room Sucks, blue room sucks, there you go thats one way to piss people off.

Posted by: jehu | April 30, 2007 8:06 PM

AT&T was responsible for this move...the AT&T headquaters are located in San Antonio Texas.

The true corporation which owns AT&T is "BellSouth", a former subsidiary of "Pacific Bell".

There was no way RATM was going to get that message out to millions over around the world, trash the hell out of the Bush administration, while Rupert Murdoch(owner of Time/AOL/AT&T)a conservative Republican, still has a say.
Wake up...wake up...this is your country. DO SOMETHING NOW!!!

When we break everything down, these are truths in life we must look at, please read Noam Chomsky."Manufaturing Consent"
love you my brothers & sisters...

you are all retarded. rage preaches against everything corporate, and they made yet another pathetic performance this sunday at coachella ranting on and on against politics and the world of consumerism. if they want to bitch and moan so much they can get the hell out of america. thank you at&t for not broadcasting such trash.

I believe AT&T wanted to bring us the Rage show but in the end it was probably Rage Against The Machine that made the decision to not let them broadcast their performance.

The AT & T blue room sucks so hard I can't tell you. Promoting Coachella like they are broadcasting something special and show the B stage performances. So I did a search on google for blue room sucks and found this blog. The blue room will not get looked at by me again till next year. I would love to promote it on my band myspace but now, I promise to only spread the word to stay away. The blue room sucks hard.

did I say the blue room sucked???? just wanted to make sure it got another hit.

Posted by: Andrew_J | April 24, 2008 11:00 PM

make that 2008 as well.

Posted by: Andrew_J | April 24, 2008 11:01 PM

Hey, it doesn't look like Prince is on the schedule, what's up with that??

Posted by: Jennifer | April 26, 2008 9:51 PM

I can't speak for AT&T but I run live content on different programs like myspace, BBC, Kroq etc and what it really comes down to is artist approvals. Believe me AT&T is a monster and has a marketing team of pros that know what is good and what is not and the lineups are never first choice but what is approved. So I wouldnt complain to the people delevering the free content you get, but complian to the bands. The other alternitive which I am curious on what your opions are is a fee based webcast. If the bads you want to see agreed for a price, which they would, would you all pay 5 bucks to watch on line, or would you not have intrest?

Posted by: Jason | May 11, 2008 1:18 AM

Darryl CADRE is a uneducated idoit. AOL does not own AT&T, check your facts before you post useless garbage.
