GRAB in Chicago, Trey Throws Out First Pitch @ Wrigley Field

I’ll be at the Trey Anastasio & Mike Gordon (w/ the Benevento/Russo Duo) show this evening — the band everyone’s calling GRAB (including myself) — and I’m quite psyched.

I’m hoping the weather calms down by this evening; this is what the radar looked like when I woke up.

For any Cubs fans, though — I imagine they’re hoping the weather calms down by about 1:20pm (in time for the game versus the Houston Astros). Trey will actually be there throwing out the first pitch and hop-nobbing it with Dusty Baker. Sounds awesome to me. Jake’s going to the game so I’ll and get him to take a cellphone pic at the very least…

From Trey.com…

Before performing at the Charter One Pavilion Thursday night in Chicago, Trey will throw out the first pitch at Wrigley Field when the Cubs play the Houston Astros. It is an afternoon game, scheduled for 1:20 PM.

Expect a mini-review tomorrow morning.

  1. Interestingly –

Trey was teasing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” all night at the Charter One Pavilion show — funny stuff…

  5. I taped the first pitch and it wasn’t Trey. It was an african-american dude from the Comcast corporation. Did anybody see Trey throw the pitch?
