For the full-on jammy goodness, Umphrey’s McGee is doing a four-night run at Brooklyn Bowl, including one of their signature “S2″ Stew Art Series events as well as a daytime gig at the Soho Apple Store….busy dudes. On Thursday, TV On the Radio & Broken Social Scene bring a strong indie rock duo to the Williamsburg Waterfront. That same night, Ducktails at Glasslands is also super tempting; don’t sleep on those dudes. Friday night provides some serious untz dance-party options that stretch across the genre spectrum. There’s !!! (Chk Chk Chk) disco-punking it at the Bell House, Umphrey’s McGee electro side-project Digital Tape Machine rocking it at Music Hall of W’burg, and Orchard Lounge will be doing their deep-house DJ thing at Webster Hall. If you were into jazzy, funky improv bands in late 90s and early 00s, then you can’t miss the Wetlands Class of ’96 at Brooklyn Bowl on Sunday night, featuring Ulu, Schleigho, and Fat Mama. Also of note, the Dodos are back in town playing Music Hall of Williamsburg with The Luyas on Monday.
