The Sasquatch Music Festival has released their 2012 lineup, and as usual, it’s a doozy. Headliners included Beck, Bon Iver, Jack White, Pretty Lights, Tenacious D and The Shins, all amongst a virtual who’s who of the best independent artists playing today. Outside Lands 2009 Schedule Announced

The schedule for Outside Lands was just posted, but I have to admit a bit worried about how the festival is going to fare this year. It’s expensive compared to most festivals locally, including the upcoming Phish Festival 8 on Halloween weekend down in Indio. I’m thinking many are going to be choosing to save their money instead this year, but I definitely hope I’m wrong about that.

What do you all think of the lineup, especially now that Tenacious D is taking over for the Beastie Boys due to Adam Yauch’s current fight with cancer? Who’s going?

I just realized I was a little late to post on this, but check out the new Rock The Vote’s Ultimate Get Out The Vote Rally announced with Beastie Boys and Tenacious D in the swing state of Colorado. I’m glad they’re trying to do something at least.

Beastie Boys Announce Get Out and Vote ’08 Tour Dates

The Beastie Boys just announced that they’re going out on tour to remind people to vote ahead of the election. This seems to be a common theme these days.

Beastie Boys have confirmed selected dates through the crucial swing states of the upcoming election. Joining the band in various markets will be Sheryl Crow, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Norah Jones, Crosby & Nash, Santogold, Tenacious D, and special guests, as well as representatives from the Rock The Vote, who will be on hand to distribute information on local polling sites, including early voting locations where available.
