In case you missed it, the lineup for this year’s Wakarusa Music Festival was finalized late last week. Topping the bill is a solid eclectic mix with Pretty Lights, The Avett Brothers and Primus all set to headline the festival, with LMB favorites Umphrey’s Mcgee, Girl Talk, Ghostland Observatory, Big Gigantic, EOTO, Orgone, Blitzen Trapper and tons more joining them to round out the festival’s ninth year in operation.

Earlier yesterday fans of the Summer Camp Music Festival on Facebook and Twitter started to get treated to the official lineup announcement slowly but surely leaking out over the interwebs. I was busy so didn’t really have time to digest it, but waking up this morning to the official announcement and seeing that moe., Umphrey’s McGee, and Primus are all at the top of the lineup is a nice treat for any fans in Illinois that regularly make this festival. I used to attend this back in my formidable years in the Midwest and have nothing but fond memories and continued respect for the lineups that these guys have been putting together. READ MORE
Happy Monday, folks. Everyone out here in the Bay Area is recovering emotionally after the transcendent experience that was this year’s Bridge School Benefit concert down in Mountain View, CA. While I couldn’t make it myself this year, most of my crew made it out for a day and reported back nothing but smiles and heartfelt appreciation for live music and what Neil Young brings to the table each and every year for this special event.
