Anyone check out this lineup at the Rock’n'Roll Resort this spring? They’re calling it the Rock’n'Roll Resort: A Psybient Soiree. I’m not so sure about that name, but if you’re into EDM and live electro, this one looks pretty interesting. Headliners include , (two sets!), , and OTT, as well as one of my personal favs, (also doing two sets).

The Rock’n'Roll Resort takes place March 30- April 1 at Kutcher’s Resort (indoors) in Monticello, NY. READ MORE

Comments on Concert Listings:
For this week’s post I used Bandsintown.com‘s concert listings. Overall, I like BIT’s ease of tracking, slick interface, and their Facebook app. I also dig their concert cloud interface and found it useful for preparing this post. However, there were a few shows missing that I saw on other listings, like Railroad Earth. This may have been due to the artists that are automatically being tracked (or not tracked) in my account, but it could have been avoided if there was a a simplified search option allowing me to look for upcoming shows in all of NYC (note: typing “New York City” into the main search box did not work; it should).

Another new festival for the Northeast!?! Yep.

Shireworks Productions has announced “the Big Up,” a 3-day music festival at Sunnyview Farm in Ghent, NY, on June 17-19 2010. Their inaugural lineup for 2010 includes , OTT, , and RAQ (in what they’re claiming will be the band’s only festival appearance for 2010).

Unlike the other new Northeastern fest (Nateva), this one appears to be launching as a smaller, more intimate kind of festival. Despite the smaller size, Big Up will feature performances on two outdoor and two indoor stages and no overlapping sets.

Amidst the ongoing frenzy of festival lineup announcements, the Wakarusa Music Festival has announced their next round of lineup additions:

, Umphrey’s McGee (2 sets including a late night), , Robert Randolph and the Family Band, 7 Walkers featuring Papa Mali and Bill Kreutzmann, , Dub Tribe Soundsystem, Fishbone, Mark Farina, Todd Snider, Mother Hips, , Tortured Soul, , Spacemen, MiM0SA, Pimps of Joytime (2 sets), That One Guy (2 sets), Ekoostik Hookah, Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Great American Taxi, Constellations, The Dirty Heads, Lynx & Jamie Janover, Jay Nash (2 sets), Supervillains, The Moondoggies, The Bridge, Backyard Tire Fire (2 sets), The Heavy Pets, Spoonfed Tribe, Sunshine Jones, Kinetix, Truckstop Honeymoon (2 sets), Oakhurst (2 sets), Ben Miller Band , Somasphere and Radio Hiro.

With a few exceptions, it seems like is sticking close to their jam-heavy roots on this one. A number of similar festivals are on hiatus for 2010 (Rothbury and 10KLF), so it’ll be interesting to see how this year’s Wakarusa fares against the rest of the competition in the middle of the country. Updated lineup after the jump…
