Earlier today I happened upon a half finished web page for something called Spring Awakening Music Festival. This supposed festival is slated to hit June 16th and 17th in . The half finished web page wasn’t up for long, so I wasn’t able to lurk the page for long, but on the page was , , , text that read “ to headline”… and a scrolling banner that showed none other than the duo known as . Some of us can dream, right?

The website claimed tickets would be $90 for the two day pass, and $180 for a VIP two day pass. Check out the screenshots I got: READ MORE

Post image for Ultra Music Festival XIV Lineup Announced

The lineup for one of the nation’s biggest electronic music festival, Miami’s annual , was just announced late last week right before Christmas. This is an absolutely stacked affair and I don’t recommend anyone skip on this if they like the untz. The fest returns to Miami’s downtown Bayfront Park area and will be happening from March 23-25, 2012 as part of Music Week in Miami. Tickets are already on sale.

And you should really think about buying tickets for this one if you’re in the area and/or spending money on South by Southwest just isn’t your thing. The highlights are plentiful in our eyes with the lineup on day one featuring , , and , along with Justice, , and on day two, and then finally SBTRKT, , and on day three. Wow, right?!

Read on for the full lineup and stay tuned for their phase two of the artist announcements; I’m not sure tickets will last too long for this one, though… READ MORE

Post image for Jam Cruise for UNTZ: Holy Ship! 2012

Woah, sorry for the silence around here, folks. Life has been wonderfully busy in my world, and I’ve had no time to digest all the awesome year-end stuff that’s coming out now. The first thing we’ll obviously have an eye on in 2012 is the annual music festival, the sold-out floating music festival for funk, untz, groove and jam lovers. But the weekend before, the same boat will be departing for the Holy Ship! festival, a strictly untz, whomp and dubstep floating event. Look at the lineup they have planned: READ MORE

Post image for North Coast Music Festival: Chemical Brothers, Umphreys, Bisco, Flying Lotus and more…

Last night during the second set of Umphrey’s McGee on Couch Tour, we got an announcement from keyboardist Joel Cummins regarding a festival that the band was going to be a part of in on Labor Day weekend. The festival is called the North Coast Music Festival and it’s going to be some serious heat for live music that weekend in the city. To get a lineup like this in Chicago starts to provides options to people besides the behemoth that is Lollapalooza, and the smaller and more eclectic and banging mix for your buck seriously puts this in good contention to be a standout festival of the year. Let’s hope for some bomb collaborations.

Check out their Twitter page here and follow along for the official lineup announcement. We have it on good authority that this is the lineup we’ll be seeing when it gets dropped.
