Post image for Phish will definitely be touring in 2012

Although we did expect some sort of news on this after the New Year rolls around, is on it early with the sleuthing that uncovered the news Phish will definitely be touring next year. A talent buyer in is trying to get them booked as part of a series of summer music festivals that they’re trying to bring to the area…

Buried deep within the Press of Atlantic City’s article on the City Council delaying a vote on the possibility of bringing music festivals to Bader Field in 2012 comes confirmation that is planning to tour next summer. Promoter Starr Hill Presents representative Ken MacDonald told the paper that “will tour next summer” when he was asked about the possibility that the group will headline one of four festivals his company is planning for Atlantic City in 2012. MacDonald would neither confirm nor deny that will indeed headline one of the events, but did confirm that is planning to tour. manager Coran Capshaw founded Starr Hill, a sister company of Red Light Management.

Very exciting news. We’re less than a week away from the band’s New Year’s Eve run at Madison Square Garden, so we’ll probably see much more about this after the new year’s gag.

Post image for Hidden Track just launched a redesign. Well done on this one, guys! It feels "cleaner" and easier to read, which is always something to aspire to when designing for the web...
Post image for Hidden Track is celebrating 5 years soon and having a show at Village Latern in NYC on 10/14. To the best in the biz, CHEERS on FIVE years! Wish I could be there to join the celebration!
Late in the evening on October 16, Hidden Track will hit the five year mark. We’ve got plenty in store that week, but we wanted to invite our readers to join us in celebrating the anniversary at NYC’s Village Lantern on October 14. Three bands will be on the bill with ties to our site – HT contributing editor Ryan Dembinsky’s D.O.T.S. C.O.N.F.U.S.E. M.I.N.D.S., contributor Will McCranie’s WM3 trio and HT faves The Whitewalls.

I thought we’d say a quick Happy Birthday to Hidden Track, which turns three today. Scotty B. and team, keep up the great work dudes!

I’m really happy I stayed in a bit this weekend and took some time redesigning the site. It’s totally funny timing, too. I remember reading a little interview with Scott from Hidden Track where he mentioned that they were going to be launching a new version soon, and no sooner had I finished off the core of the new design when I checked on my feed reader to see that they had gone live with their new design also. Totally accidental that we launched at the same time. But kudos, guys! Congrats on the launch!

Let’s see what else is going on.

Last but certainly not least, our man Andrew has been on the scene at Monolith Festival all weekend and he’s captured some seriously fantastic photos already. Give them a look and expect an update from him real soon.
