TOUR DATES HERE

After the decade-long and joke-inspiring album release that was “Chinese Democracy,” it looks like Axl Rose and the boys of the new Guns N’ Roses are locked in for some 2010 tour dates in Canada. Supposedly, GnR is also slated for some dates in Asia later this year, but no word yet on anything in the U.S.

Overall, details still remain a bit sketchy and we still don’t have any kind official announcement from Axl or the official GnR website. However, the Canadian dates appear to be legit, as both Live Nation and Ticketmaster now have Guns N’ Roses dates listed.

Okay, so I know this isn’t about live music per se but this is still pretty huge news in the music world.

More than a decade after its conception, Guns N’ Roses’ “Chinese Democracy” will finally see the light of day before year’s end, sources close to the situation confirms to Billboard. As first reported here, the set will be a Best Buy exclusive and will be available Sunday, Nov. 23, rather than the usual Tuesday.

I’ve purposely avoided any and all musical samples that got leaked earlier this year as I want this whole thing to be a surprise to me. I remember the day that the Metallica “black album” came out and where I was when someone brought it into the skate shop I was hanging out at. This was this collective hush in the room when we finally put the album on. I feel that I want to have that experience with this album before having it tainted.

That said, I’m sure many of you have sampled. “It’s like driving past a car crash…you just have to look…” For those of you that have actually heard this potential garbage, what are your thoughts? Can Axl really stage a comeback through GNR or is this guy so far beyond a joke that it’s not even funny anymore?
