The annual Wanee Festival announced their initial set of artists today with the old-school heavy hitters of Allman Brothers Band and Furthur taking lead on the lineup this year. Both bands will be performing two nights so the sit-in potential on this festival is absolutely insane. That’s obviously what the promoters go for when they throw parties at this spot; my friends said Bear Creek was just a constant stream of sit-ins and sets with more guests than you could keep up with notating.
The fest returns to Suwannee Music Park in Like Oak, FL the weekend of April 19-21, and it’s a doozy if you’re a jamband fan whatsoever. Tickets go on sale this Friday. Read on for the lineup… >>>

Happy holidays, dudes and dudettes! Hope you got everything you wished for and downed copious amounts of egg nog. Now, on to more important stuff than family gatherings and gift exchanges….live music! Naturally, there are ton of great shows going on this week in NYC as we lead up to New Year’s Eve, including some multi-night holiday runs, some late-night throwdowns, and plenty of NYE parties that don’t involve watching a ball drop in 10-degree weather. I caught this late yesterday but just not getting around to posting the news update from the 23rd Annual Warren Haynes Christmas Jam. The lineup hit the wires yesterday with Phil & Friends, Gov’t Mule, Los Lobos and Bela Fleck all sitting at the top with plenty more yet to be announced. It’s a doozy for fans of the Haynes and Friends style uber jam that lasts hours and hours into the Asheville night. >>>
