The second season of Elvis Costello’s ‘rock-talk show’ series “Spectacle: Elvis Costello with…” premieres Wednesday, December 9, with U2′s Bono and The Edge as special guests. Episodes air on Sundance Channel each Wednesday at 10pm ET. Guests for future episodes will include Sheryl Crow, Levon Helm, Nick Lowe, Richard Thompson, Larry Campbell, Allen Toussaint, Lyle lovett, Ray LaMontagne, John Price Neko Case, Ron Sexsmith and Jesse Wincester, among others. The show’s season finale will be a two-part feature with Bruce Springsteen.

Any Bluegrass fans out there?
Merlefest has announced its 2010 line-up, featuring classic Bluegrass and “Traditional-plus” music from the likes of Doc Watson, Jerry Douglas, the recently ‘Bluegrassified’ Elvis Costello, and a number of other heavy-hitters in the broader Bluegrass realm. The Wilkesboro, North Carolina festival will take place April 29 – May 2, 2010, and will celebrate its 23rd year in existence.
