This has some serious face-melt potential written all over it:
The Recording Academy has announced today electronic music producer deadmau5 will perform on the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards telecast this Sunday, February 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. He will join Foo Fighters, David Guetta, Chris Brown and Lil Wayne for a special performance, marking the first-time ever electronic music will be spotlighted on the show.
Actually, wait…maybe I meant face-palm. LULZ, right?
Either way, make sure to set your DVR’s, kiddos.

Happy holidays, dudes and dudettes! Hope you got everything you wished for and downed copious amounts of egg nog. Now, on to more important stuff than family gatherings and gift exchanges….live music! The third and final day of Outside Lands wrapped up yesterday and I was there to catch a bunch of the untz-y action. I made the festival grounds just in time for a full !!! (Chk Chk Chk) set, a high-energy Major Lazer set that seriously got people rocking and waving their shirts, a bit of the Decemberists then the remainder of STS9, and a headlining slot by Deadmau5 that brought the kids to their feet hopping and wearing glowsticks and random furry costume accessories. In other words, it was a solid end to a successful festival for me and I’m hoping to finish off my main thoughts on the event while I’m mid-flight to Chicago for the Phish three-night run that begins tonight at UIC Pavilion. Let’s hope this wifi holds out! >>>
The lineup for Lollapalooza 2011 just dropped with Eminem, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Muse and My Morning Jacket at the top of the list of artists set to play this year’s 20th anniversary festival. The support behind the headliners is tight as well, with Deadmau5, A Perfect Circle, Cee Lo Green, Ween, Ratatat and tons of other artists already announced in this first round press blitz. Also notable is the expansion of the “DJ” schedules with Girl Talk, Pretty Lights, and Kid Cudi topping the “Live @ Perry’s” stage for the untz whomp artists. Read on for the full lineup…

Here are some photos from day three at Bonnaroo 2010; thanks again to Eric Tsurumoto for donning our press pass and getting out there in the muddy heat.
