For fans of the Disco Biscuits, Memorial Day Weekend means that you’re hanging out in Colorado taking in the festivities surrounding the annual Bisco Inferno celebration. The official party is at Red Rocks tomorrow, with Booka Shade, Aeroplane, The Glitch Mob and Pnuma Trio helping out the band with an all-day affair at the famous amphitheater. Tonight the band plays in Denver at the Odgen Theater, which follows up a pretty successful start to the weekend with yesterday’s flash mob and rage-fest show that got people into the Bisco mood. Oh, and Barber is back and clearly looking to satisfy some critics. READ MORE
The Disco Biscuits are really planning a huge year in support of their March 16th release, Planet Anthem. The plans for Bisco Inferno and Camp Bisco have already been announced and the band usually gets added to a slew of other festivals around the summer as well. I’m hoping they’ll be back at High Sierra for Fourth of July.

Hot off the heels of a stellar five-night NYE run at the Nokia Theatre in NYC, the Disco Biscuits are continuing their Planet Anthem tour as they lead up to the release their new studio album of the same name. They announced a late Winter/early Spring tour on the East Coast to expand on their previously-announced four-night run at the Fox in Boulder, CO. They’ll also be returning to Colorado at the end of May for another version of Bisco Inferno at Red Rocks, and they’ve been added to the lineup for Miami’s Ultra Music Festival in March.
Last year was a big year for the Biscuits, but I have a sense that 2010 may be even bigger.
The Disco Biscuits just capped off a Winter/Spring Tour that many fans feel was one of their strongest and most consistent tours in the last few years. The band also finalized plans for the eighth incarnation of their signature music festival, Camp Bisco, which takes place July 16-18, returning again to the Indian Lookout Country Club in Mariaville, New York outside of Albany.
As in years past, the Biscuits have pulled together a solid lineup of bands and DJ’s that tend towards electronic dance music but include plenty of exceptions to that rule:
Lotus is right at the start of a mini-tour on the East Coast before they head to Whistler, B.C. and then onto Jazz Fest, Summer Camp, and tons of other festivals this year. I haven’t heard them lately and don’t really know how well they’re latest live shows have been, so drop some comments if they’re still killing it live. I may try to catch them sometime soonish.
