In case you missed it, the lineup for this year’s Wakarusa Music Festival was finalized late last week. Topping the bill is a solid eclectic mix with Pretty Lights, The Avett Brothers and Primus all set to headline the festival, with LMB favorites Umphrey’s Mcgee, Girl Talk, Ghostland Observatory, Big Gigantic, EOTO, Orgone, Blitzen Trapper and tons more joining them to round out the festival’s ninth year in operation.
The festival returns to the Ozarks on May 31-June 3, 2012 and tickets are still on sale. READ MORE
The lineup for one of the nation’s biggest electronic music festival, Miami’s annual Ultra Music Festival, was just announced late last week right before Christmas. This is an absolutely stacked affair and I don’t recommend anyone skip on this if they like the untz. The fest returns to Miami’s downtown Bayfront Park area and will be happening from March 23-25, 2012 as part of Music Week in Miami. Tickets are already on sale.
And you should really think about buying tickets for this one if you’re in the area and/or spending money on South by Southwest just isn’t your thing. The Ultra highlights are plentiful in our eyes with the lineup on day one featuring Skrillex, Pretty Lights, and Kraftwerk, along with Justice, M83, and Fatboy Slim on day two, and then finally SBTRKT, Flying Lotus, and Bassnectar on day three. Wow, right?!
Read on for the full lineup and stay tuned for their phase two of the artist announcements; I’m not sure tickets will last too long for this one, though… READ MORE
The organizers over at SnowGlobe Music Festival have started “leaking” out the names of the other bands fit for the bill. While they say it’s not official yet, this post on Twitter implies that they’re clearly not really concerned with making it obvious or not. They tweeted out names of bands and links to YouTube videos they like, and the official press release will be coming tomorrow.
Then they said this:

In addition to the already announced headliners of Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, Thievery Corporation and The Glitch Mob, the folks putting on the festival will (probably) be adding the following artists:
Kraddy, Blockhead, Dillon Francis, Mux Mool, NastyNasty, Antiserum, Big Gigantic, Porter Robinson, Ill-Esha, Eliot Lipp, Fishbone, The M Machine, & Tipper
I am very excited to be making my first trek down to Live Oak Florida in less than 3 weeks for the Bear Creek Music Festival, and the anticipation has only increased now that the schedule dropped last week. It’s my first time ever flying to a festival, so it’ll be a definite change from all those times I’ve loaded up the car with my camping gear, but other than that I could not be more excited. READ MORE
