It must be “West Coast Music Festival Lineups” week here at LMB. The Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle just announced their lineup today for the weekend of July 23-25th, 2010. It’s absolutely stunning for the price of admission. This is seemingly worth traveling for at that rate; some three-day passes are still available for $60.

This year’s lineup for the Mile High Music Festival was just dropped in our inbox, and it’s looking like a pretty solid, mainstream festival for the Colorado fans. The celebration returns to the lawns at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Denver, CO for the weekend of August 14-15, 2010. You’ve got Jack Johnson topping the lineup on Saturday, August 14th and Dave Matthews Band topping the lineup on Sunday, August 15th, and the other bands rounding up the lineup are all headliner-worthy themselves with My Morning Jacket, Weezer, Phoenix and many more all set to play. The lineup for the 2009 10,000 Lakes Music Festival was announced a while back while we were still on hiatus, and they announced a few lineup additions late last week. The festival is set for July 22-25 back at Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes, MN, the long-time site of the beautiful and intimate four days of camping and musical celebration. A first trip to a historic place is always special. The first day of the Monolith Festival at Red Rocks was especially nice. A cool, sunny day highlighted the already picturesque venue all afternoon. Adding to the atmosphere was probably the best single festival day of music I’ve had all summer. There were no uninspired sets and the only hiccup was Cut Copy not being able to finish an already fire show.
We’ll get everyone a full review as soon as possible but until then here are the best photos of the day. Its easy to shoot at Red Rocks, everything has a background that could serve as its own photo and the staff are as nice as can be.
