Happy Monday, folks. Everyone out here in the Bay Area is recovering emotionally after the transcendent experience that was this year’s concert down in Mountain View, CA. While I couldn’t make it myself this year, most of my crew made it out for a day and reported back nothing but smiles and heartfelt appreciation for live music and what brings to the table each and every year for this special event.

As always Neil Young made a set of special appearances each day, and footage is up from the feed so you can see the sit-in he did with as well as this shot of him and doing “Pocahontas.” Look at the band reaction when Young joins them on stage… READ MORE

The lineup for the fifth year of the Las Tortugas Dance of the Dead Festival was just announced today with , , and topping the bill. The festival will take place once again down at Yosemite’s West Gate on Halloween weekend. Poor Man’s Whiskey will be doing Old and In The Way which has definitely gotten some attention in the past, but I’d be most interested to see how Guitarmageddon would be tackling the music of Prince. I imagine they got at least part of their inspiration from this video of Prince slaying the George Harrison induction at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony years ago. Should make for an interesting festival if you’re a California head, that’s for sure… READ MORE
