More Bonnaroo 2006 Lineup Rumors

Update (2/1/06): Bonnaroo 2006 Lineup Announced!

If you could see my stat logs right now, you’d see that most everyone in the country is anxiously awaiting the lineup announcement for Bonnaroo 2006. Hell, I’ve been looking a lot of places and haven’t seen much other than what I’ve already posted.

We bloggers are having some fun speculating, though, and it looks like the Wikipedia community has joined in on the fun

Béla Fleck and The Flecktones and Nickel Creek (both scheduled to perform June 16) are the only bands confirmed for the 2006 festival. The following lineup is merely speculation.

The rumored lineup includes Radiohead, The Dead (again?!?), Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Beck, Particle, Dinosaur Jr., My Morning Jacket, Queens of the Stone Age (lol, awesome!), The Arcade Fire, moe., String Cheese Incident, Blue Merle, North Mississippi Allstars…

  1. any who is any one knows that particle has been broken up for at least 3 or 4 months. and to add to that moe. will not play there again. plus bonnaroo has become a joke and little sorority girls want to get their kick and play hippie for a weekend and freak out from not taking a shower and washing their delicate hair for a day. so please don’t post anything unless you know the facts…

  4. and particle’s running strong?

    “Spring Tour On The Horizon!
Particle will return to road warrior status in 2006 with a cross-country trek this spring beginning after SXSW. The band is looking forward to sharing plenty of new material and surprises with all of you. Tour dates and details will be announced shortly! ”

Next time I’ll put these all in one comment, promise.

  8. What’s up with all the uber hippies thinking that Bonnaroo is a joke because it runs smoothly and actually features artists and not just jam bands. I love hippies but i like other people too, so get off the trip that you can only hang out with hippies and listen to jam bands to have a good festival.

P.S. The Drugs will still be there

  11. Well Whitney, you couldn’t have been more wrong about moe. moe. loves bonnaroo, which would explain why they have returned to the line-up again in 2006. Bonnaroo is an amazing event, and I venture to say you don’t know shit about music. so please don’t post anything unless you know the facts . . .

  12. The day tix went on sale for about 18 hours on wikipedia’s website, they listed “Artist Additions Round 3″ as having taken place on February 11th (that same day). It listed The Flaming Lips, The Arcade Fire, and Wilco. It was there, plain as day, in the same format that the other artist additions were listed. I flipped shit and went to bonnaroo’s website, but having been there earlier while buying my ticket, i knew there was no such information on their page. The next day wikipedia removed the announcement. Misprint or good news broken too quickly? (Obviously bonnaroo wouldn’t want to drop another bomb like that on us until a few weeks after the oysterhead announcement.
