Primus, Drums & Tuba Tonight

filed under: , ,

I'm headed to the Primus / Drums & Tuba show tonight at the Aragon Ballroom here in Chicago, and I couldn't be more excited. I've never seen Primus perform live so this will be a nice, special treat for me...

And they better play "Winona's Big Brown Beaver" or I'm going to be pissed.

I caught D&T last September, and was "eh" about them. I wouldn't go out of my way to see them, but they definitely put on a decent show.

They're three guys, one on the drums, one on the tuba, and one on the guitar. Just from the name, you wouldn't expect those guys to have a guitarist, right? I'd like to see the guy have this conversation with someone:

Person: What do you do for a living?
D&T Guitarist: I'm a musician. I play in a band.
Person: Which one?
D&TG: Drums & Tuba.
Person: Oh, cool, man, what do you play?
D&T: Guitar.

They Played Winona's Big Brown Beaver for the Fucking Encore....Great Fucking show!

Anyone notice that they would start a song then about 30 seconds into it they'd switch to another song?
