Monday Night in Chitown

Maybe I'm getting too ahead of myself...

I probably should be taking a nap to get ready for the show tonight, and instead I'm all worried about next week...

And for that week ahead, I'm planning more than I'm sure to follow-through with...(why the hell do I always do that?) I'm am pretty confident of the following, though...

Monday: Mice Parade, Del Rey @ Empty Bottle, 10pm, FREE
Another monster of a 'free Monday' show, this one features organic electronic group MICE PARADE, playing in support of their latest release Bem-Vinda Vontade. They'll be joined by 'double kit' contemporaries DEL REY, a quartet that works through expansive compositions that are notable for the complexity and fluidity.

This one is too good to pass up. I've never heard Mice Parade before today and I like what I'm hearing. Del Rey is one band I've listened to for a while but I haven't given them the full live treatment that they deserve. Did I mention that the show was free? Here's the preview (IE)...

I really dig Mice Parade. Somehow I always miss their shows, but I hear they are great live.
