Phish Friday | Blizzard Edition

filed under: , ,

I'm finally dried off after this morning's trudge through the snow. Chicago got rocked by a winter storm this morning and I've been moving a little slow ever since, especially on our this here music blog.

As I'm certainly phoning it in a little bit today, I figured it was only fitting that I'd post something that Phish clearly phoned in.

Here's "Cavern" from their VH1 special a few years back...(I always found it funny that these chose this cut for the special)...

Oh yeah, and don't forget about all the wonderfully exciting and insightful Phish Fridays we've celebrated already...

It's times like these that I don't regret leaving Chicago.

there is clearly something going on here that we are not privy to... trey wanted it kept in for the dental floss dance at the end...

Phoning it in for sure, but even then they were tighter than most bands. No Page backup vocals for most of the song, Trey flubs lyrics, and then the stony weirdness (foreshadowing of Emotional Rescue in Vegas)...but the fact of the matter is I'd watch video of them dicking around in someone's garage for 45 minutes on a 12-bar blues riff.
