Lollapalooza to Stay in Chicago for Five Years

filed under: , | tags: ,

They had mostly confirmed this earlier in the week, but now it's official...

Lollapalooza promoters signed a five-year deal with the Chicago Park District to keep the festival in the city. I'd imagine we can expect the same time of year, the same sort of lineup, and the same long-walks between the four main stages.

I had a blast at the 2006 incarnation and I plan to be in attendance for many years to come.

I am not sure I will head back next year. I thought lineup was o.k but the sound and set up of the entire festival was rather poor.

This is great news! Chicago is the best place to have it and everyone knows it!

In 1992 would anyone have ever thought that the way to make Lollapalooza better would be to make it stop touring?
