New Year's Eve in Chicago just got a little bit more interesting...
The Raconteurs have just confirmed they will be ringing in the New Year at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. They will be performing December 30th and 31st and we are offering a limited number of tickets during a pre-sale via the website starting tomorrow, October 10th at 12 pm CST.
Right across the street from the Umphrey's McGee NYE extravaganza at the Aragon Ballroom...
"Sweet home, Chicago..."
Any NYE tracking like your Halloween shows listing? I'm too lazy lately...
I think I'll be heading away from Chicago if I choose to take the live show route, though. Something interesting perhaps, not the usuals this year.
Jack knows how to do NYE. I was at the Whitestripes/Flaming Lips NYE in 03 and it was a great time. This is definetly on my list.
Did you see that tickets for this show are 79 dollars! I like the Raconteurs and I love the Whitestripes but the Raconteurs only have 1 hours worth of material. How can they justify 79 dollars for 1 to 1.5 hours of music.
That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw this; how are they going to fill one night let alone the two-night stand? Totally agree.
I am sure there will be a lot of repeats in fact they will paly the whole album both nights and add a few covers each night but IMO there is no reason to go 2 nights in a row. Which is weird because if this was the Whitestripes I would easily be at both shows.
I dis agree, your a basically saying that Jack Whie cannot hold our interest and make our imagination stop and listen, come on we don't know what they have in store, I'd pay 150 face in a approx1300 person venue, sorry bout my un logical oppinion
I was wondering about the price too. Does this include drinks? $85+ dollars is a lot of cash for a show. I didn't even think about the fact that they didn't have enough material to play 3 sets, let alone two. I expect a bunch of covers, which is fine by me.
I wish their website had more info, but maybe it's just an expensive standard show?
