Busy day today and some live mp3’s from The Slip are getting me through it…

You know — it was really hard for me to get into this band at first but I persisted. I knew I wanted to like it but it just seemed like too much of an acquired taste for me for quite a while. Just now — like the last three months — has it started to set in…
What do you guys think? The Slip — good/bad? Too indie and experimental? Too jammy and wanky? None of the above?

I like to refer to them as “improvisational americana indie pop.”
If you like The Slip, try out “SURPRISE ME MR. DAVIS”, It’s a Slip side project. Amazing stuff.
Yeah, I’ve never given them a listen so I’ll have to check that out.
