Dude, Where's My Show?

filed under:

You've got to give love where love is due. Andy Gadiel, Mr. JamBase himself, has put together a little ditty of a site that matches the JamBase show database to the Google Maps API. Within about four minutes on Friday night, I was able to check the map for shows in Raleigh, NC (where I was away on a quick weekend break). Check out JamBase Maps here. It takes a second to load (think Javascript), but it's worth the wait...

I'm thinking ahead, but you could conceivably add camping locations and cheap hotels into the same database for another quick overview of where's the show and where's the nearest place to stay afterwards. Good stuff.

Gadiel, still at it. This seems to be one of those things that is completely unnecessary, but supremely awesome.

Hence, most supremely awesome, indeed.

Shame you can't change the date, though...

Way cool. Let's have an European version soon.
