Announced late last week, the New American Music Union festival "combines some of the most innovative and popular artists with fifteen of the country's best college bands and will be hosted by host Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The line up includes Bob Dylan and His Band, The Raconteurs, The Roots, Spoon and more."
Seriously? That's pretty cool.
It's interesting enough to have Bob Dylan and The Raconteurs headlining -- where we'd hope to see some Jack and Bob collaboration -- and then to add The Black Keys, The Roots and a few others, you've got yourself a serious music festival here that'll be added to the list of new festivals during 2008 that might have a chance of surviving into 2009. They're promising low ticket prices, too.
