2007 Austin City Limits Festival | Dates Announced!

aclfest.gif(5/10/07 update - the full lineup has been announced)

Mark your calendars.

2007 Austin City Limits Music Festival
http://aclfest.com/
September 14-16, 2007
Austin, TX

This year’s festival featured everyone from Tom Petty to the Secret Machines — with a bloody Ben Kweller thrown in as a bonus — so I’m sure the 2007 lineup won’t disappoint…

  11. Judging from Bonnaroo and Coachella I hope and pray that Radiohead will be there along with Bjork and of course Arcade Fire. I wish we could start getting some official news cause I can only make it ot one festival and it’s coming down to decision time.

  14. Please no Dave - he plays a ton of shows anyway. But Radiohead should always be on the wishlist. I also have high hopes for the Smashing Pumpkins - they seem to be on a tour of festivals this summer anyway and haven’t sewn up dates during ACL.

Otherwise - Doves and Travis get a thumbs up from me

  15. Beck would be great. Throw in Modest Mouse, Arcade Fire, Death Cab, and White Stripes.

Plus, BRING BACK MUSE!!! Best performance from last year!

  16. chili peppers would be ideal. or pearl jam. but i was reading a website where they were interviewing one of the people in charge of the line up and the interviewer asked if pearl jam or the chili peppers were going to be there, because that is usually a rumor floating around, and the line up guy said that the cover band would be bigger than both of them

  17. If Radiohead was announced, it would be the best music festival of 2007. However, I would settle on the following…Teddybears, LCD Soundsystem, Tokyo Police Club, oh and bring back Muse please! Of course I know it would not happen but I can only hope for DAFTPUNK!

  18. Who cares who the headliners are? Why would you even want to see Pearl Jam or Radiohead or whoever play for 45 minutes on a stage you can’t even get within 1/2 of???? Your only hope of actually seeing a performance by those bands is that they would play Stubb’s after ACL.

ACL is really about smaller bands on side stages stealing the thunder from the main stages.

The Flaming Lips might be the only good main stage exception I can think of in the past few years.

  19. Bjork, the Police and Daft Punk.
Plus, as with every year, headliner’s will recieve a full hour and a half set.

Daft’s set better be different than last year’s.

  23. Ya’ll have some great suggestions… I would personally like to see Brandi Carlile, but I would be more than happy with almost everyone previously mentioned. What date are they announcing the line-up?
