Anyone check out this lineup at the Rock’n'Roll Resort this spring? They’re calling it the Rock’n'Roll Resort: A Psybient Soiree. I’m not so sure about that name, but if you’re into EDM and live electro, this one looks pretty interesting. Headliners include , (two sets!), , and OTT, as well as one of my personal favs, (also doing two sets).

The Rock’n'Roll Resort takes place March 30- April 1 at Kutcher’s Resort (indoors) in Monticello, NY. READ MORE

February is always an exciting time of year to plan ahead for music festival season and this week has been a busy one around these parts. Everyone else is getting busy, too; it looks like the Bonnaroo website was just relaunched with a new set of 2012 graphics and a promise of an artist announcement coming sometime next week.

And yesterday, the internets came ablaze with a pretty shockingly close rendition of the artist lineup (new artwork!) we would expect out of the Bonnaroo 2012 lineup, even if it’s an obvious fake complete with a typo or two and a few big calls that really could be false (but would be ill if it actually went down, like Paul Simon doing Graceland in its entirety). This dude on the Inforoo.org boards was the genius behind it all (via Hidden Track).

It still got me psyched to see what actually comes out next week, and the three headliners on the top of the bill were exactly as we’ve seen confirmed elsewhere (like Radiohead and Red Hot Chili Peppers) or heavily rumored and plausibly likely (Phish).

So we know that much (kinda): Radiohead and Red Hot Chili Peppers for sure. Phish probably. The Word definitely. Skrillex likely (heh). And sure, why not Randy Newman? Belee dat! READ MORE

Post image for Red Hot Chili Peppers added to Hangout Music Fest

The lineup for this year’s was released earlier this week and they had promised us one more headliner that will join , and for the top honors at the beach side party. Consequence of Sound just dropped the news that confirmed themselves as the third (fourth?) major anchor at this year’s festival, so there you have it.

We’re also hearing that they’re a major headliner at this year’s Music Festival along with and . Yeah.

@orionmusicmore

brooklynvegan was the first to report that the rumored festival set for Atlantic City is indeed true. The band just announced the Orion Music and More Festival in Atlantic City on June 23rd-24th, which will feature unique sets from the band and a full runthrough of The Black Album. This is the first of the announcements coming out of these four festival confirmations that were reported recently.

The lineup (so far):

, , , , Cage The Elephant, , , , , , , , , , , .

Many more TBA. Tickets are discounted if you’re a member of the band’s fan club and they’ll go on sale there first; head over to the festival website for more info as it becomes available or follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

Some of us can dream, right?

The website claimed tickets would be $90 for the two day pass, and $180 for a VIP two day pass. Check out the screenshots I got: READ MORE

In case you missed it, the lineup for this year’s Snowball Music Festival was announced recently and it’s totally nuts. Any festival set in Vail, Colorado would be something to pay attention to regardless, and this year the promoters went all-out on the talent by snagging Snoop Dogg, Bassnectar, Rusko, TV on the Radio, Big [...]
