1,001 Flavors of Live Music Blog

I've thought long and hard about this blog milestone and how I should approach it. What should the 1000th post be?

Well, this Bonnaroo announcement flew into my inbox and I had to run with it. I was frantically trying to be the first to post even though it hardly matters this morning. It's all up to Google PageRank now.

So, my 1000th post was decided for me but I knew I couldn't skip the milestone.

Should I write a post that is just the story of Justin? Should I put a million mp3s into one post for people to just jam out to forever? I like the second idea better, so I've assembled a boatload of downloads and streaming tracks for permanent enjoyment.

Here's some great live stuff that grabbed me this morning; some of you returning visitors might have seen some of these tracks posted before, and I probably could have sat here all day just creating some monster mp3 post.

After all, you're here for the music. We're all here for the music. Enjoy!

I'm going to keep it live and it's going to be one nasty-ass mix--you've been warned! Also, give them a second to load--they're all streaming from the Archive to keep it permanent...

Thank you to everyone that has supported me over the past 1,000 posts, and thank you to those fantastic guest-bloggers that have really helped add a lot of value to the site.

Damnnnnn, congrats man, I didn't know you were so close to the full grand. I'll be enjoying these all day for sure. Have a good day, I'm guessing you're going to take a short break (an hour maybe?) Ha, see you Friday man, congrats again.

Congrats, Justin! Made my 1000th post last week and I was lucky enough to tell the world about a brand new John Cale song. And I heard live yesterday for the very first time.
