Phish returns to the road tonight with the first of three nights here in the Bay Area. The historic in Berkeley will play host, and we’ll be tweeting updates at @LiveMusicBlog and following along with all of our friends that are in town. For the rest of the action, make sure you follow @CoventryMusic, @Phortin, @YEMblog, @PhanArt and @PhishTwit to stay up on the streams, the setlists, the lot reports, and any of the hijinx that is going down in the lots. Encore: Stage Banter*, Loving Cup, Tweezer Reprise

* Stage Banter was a sign that Trey grabbed before encore, taking the opportunity to thank Paul for making him a new guitar.

    As an old SF music fan, I totally enjoyed last nights show, especially the first five songs of the second set. What I realized in listening to last night’s version of “Down With Disease” is that it sounded an awful lot like an old Jeffferson Airplane/Hot Tuna tune called “Feel So Good.”

    You Phishies should check it out – you might like it, because the band sure did.
