If you can’t make it out to the sold-out UMBowl tonight at Lincoln Hall in Chicago, featuring over four hours of Umphrey’s McGee opening themselves up the mother-of-all audience participation experiments, then you can go uber-geek and get the premium webcast from iClips for $14.99. The concert will begin broadcasting live at 8pm CDT.


2010 will be a unique interactive Umphrey’s McGee experience. This 4-plus-hour extravaganza will be unlike any other Umphrey’s event to date – the will be a show for the ages!

The evening will be broken up into four quarters of music, each with a different interactive theme. The First Quarter will kick off with an acoustic set chosen entirely by attendees. The Second Quarter will showcase their successful Stew Art Series (S2). Q2 will be entirely improvised and driven by bi-directional text communication. The playlist for Q3 will be decided by the votes of fans. And for Q4, the fans in attendance are the quarterback. The band will begin a set of UM classics, and along the way, they will be able to “call an audible” by texting in their vote as to which direction the band should go in.

UMBowl will be a full contact concert experience that you won’t want to miss! The simulcast will be $14.99. More broadcast details and specific set times will be posted shortly.
