I’m very excited to see My Morning Jacket making a return in 2010, and it looks like the band has already lined up dates around the Jazzfest lineup announcement last month.
The guys will make their way around the Southeastern United States this Spring, including a performance at this year’s Jazzfest in New Orleans. MMJ are also excited to both try something new with their choice for an opening act, and bring some of the spirit of NOLA along with them. The band is honored that the historic Preservation Hall Jazz Band will be supporting them on the run.
MMJ Tour Dates With The Preservation Hall Jazz Band
04/20: Birmingham, AL @ Alabama Theater
04/21: Nashville, TN @ Municipal Auditorium
04/23: Atlanta, GA @ Chastain Park
04/24: New Orleans, LA @ Jazzfest
04/27: St. Augustine, FL @ St. Augustine Amphitheater

One festival goes down, and another one sprouts up, right? Seems to be the case.
Last week, we were definitely bummed to see the Rothbury Festival get canceled for 2010. But for all the jam kids that will be seeking out a decent alternative for the 4th of July weekend, the inaugural Nateva Festival might just be a solid option.

Phish has rolled out its latest Live Phish release, digging back into the early 90s for a killer show at Ross Arena at St. Michael’s College in Colchester, VT on November 19th, 1992.
100% of proceeds from the release will go to the American Red Cross and Partners in Health, two organizations working towards the aid and restoration of Haiti. Phish’s own non-profit, The WaterWheel Foundation, will match the first $15,000 raised from the sale of this show.

Last Wednesday, one of the best jambands you’ve never heard of rolled through San Francisco and played a raging, non-stop set to a half-empty room of people left with their jaws dropped and nothing more. That band was White Denim, and they just finished up a large tour in support of their release of Fits late last year. Me and my crew were there and I just found a few videos from the show, so it’s time I round it up a bit. All photos by Dan Leech. READ MORE
