Bruce Springsteen Says “Hello, Ohio!” to Detroit, MI Audience

This kind of thing just leaves me speechless:

Bruce Springsteen reportedly greeted his Detroit-area audience Friday (11/13) night with a resounding “Hello, Ohio!” Oops.

If I can imagine myself there for just a moment, I think I’d probably have the urge to just get up and leave the show immediately. This is the stuff that Spinal Tap dreams are made of…

Bands playing Camden NJ routinely yell out: “Hello, Philadelphia”. Granted, it’s just across the river, but I don’t think anyone there hears it.

Bruce, to his credit, was able to laugh about it. The next night in Wisconsin, Backstreets.com reports that he said: “Good evening Ohio!… Aw, I’m just fuckin’ with ya!”

The guy has played thousands of shows and been nothing but great toward his audience over the years. I can allow him one screw up. And besides, you’d be crazy to leave a Bruce concert before it was over.
