Oh hai. I still haven’t even fully digested all that I took in at , and I’ve had a busy week with work and my band. Tomorrow, I plan on finally brain-dumping all of the goodness in my memories to this here blog and I fully intend to do a review proper justice. In the meantime, may I present to you…The Burble*.

Phish Borealis/Burble Art @ Festival 8

20091030 Harry Hood jam from patrick nelson on Vimeo.

* – this is what we called it all weekend, but just because it was super fun to say. Whatever it was, it was fun to see it dancing in the field with the rest of us.

i’ve personally found it terribly hard to write about.
not that i didn’t get info or do “coverage” while i was there.
but i have found coming back to the real world has made the experience more and more sacred and less important to write about.
i don’t gather from your post that this is your experience, sounds like you’ve just been VERY busy but it has been hard for me to do a day by day break down. not memory loss. just hard to put into words.

you completely nailed it. i haven’t even listened to the entire festival yet, but every time i get closer to finishing it i’m reminded of something amazing i saw that i had forgotten about before…

plus i had to get our new header done. ;)

    • Lana

Words couldn’t possibly do it justice! I have kind of felt the same thing. There are so many stories to tell…. but words seem so simple and inexpressive compared to the depth of that experience. It will have to just live in my memory!

    lana,
you are correct. it’s like seeing a beautiful sunset and having a disposable camera and you take 15 pictures of it and when you develop them they dont even come close to the actual sunset itself. some things are left better in the heart and soul- yet there are so many fans that didn’t make it that want to know…so it is our duty as writers to let them in, as hard as it may be….darn it cant they just release the movie?
