My friends band Walter Meego played a gig with Vampire Weekend at The Empty Bottle in Chicago before their album came out and I remember VW playing a solid it. It will be interesting to hear the new tunes.

I still haven't seen these guys live but I've heard that most every show is something you'd expect if you knew the material. I highly doubt they jam anything out, even if their drummer is a Phish fan. "Tomson says that Phish has not only informed Vampire Weekend about the festival scene, but the album making process as well."
