I typically use Audacity to create the podcasts. It’s an open-source audio editing program and fairly easy to use. If that’s too much software, I also saw a recent article on an editing tool that is done all through your browser (Techcrunch on Aviary). I’ve yet to try it out for podcasts. I’ve also heard you can also use Garageband for this type of thing, if you’re a mac guy.

Honestly, the editing isn’t the hardest part. At least for me, selecting the songs and figuring out the transitions is what always seems to sap the most time/effort. Feel free to email me with any questions about the process:whitperson at livemusicblog.com

that Fee was sort of my “odd pick” on the mix. I’m not sure I would have selected it if i didn’t go to the show, but it just perfectly captured the sunny, summer atmosphere from that one. good times.
