I was a virgin to Phish. Never even heard of them til I got with my husband, who is a Phish Phanatic. I always made fun of him because I never got what he was talking about when he talked about Phish. And when I heard them, they sounded like a jumbled mess with the exception of a few jams like Reba, Bathtub gin, and Gotta Jibboo. After some convincing, my husband finally got me to go to the Phish concert at Toyota Park. First, I must apologize to my husband for making fun of his taste in music, and next, I must say that hearing them on a CD and then feeling the experience live has made me a Phish phan. i'll never love them to the degree that my husband does, but they are a pretty amazing jam band!!!

I honestly loved both sets, and the whole show blew my mind!!! I can't get Ocelot out of my head either. This was my fifth show this summer, and I wouldn't rather have been anywhere else in the whole world! The setlist was insane, and I couldn't stop dancing the whole time! Phish is back, and I'm loving it!

I had an absolute blast! I have to agree with everyone about the first set though. It was okay at best, definitely no Alpine Valley (this year) good. I appreciate that Phish has so many great new songs, but they definitely shouldn't load so many into a first set. The second set was just outstanding!! My buddy and hung out in the very back of GA right in front of all the drink stands and we were just tearin up the dance floor the entire second set:-)

I do have to admit though that, given the fact that Phish hasn't played an outdoor venue in IL since '98 (?), I am really surprised they broke out with a first set the way they did...

The first set held some nice suprises, like Paul and Silas, that hasn't been played live since like 98(?) and Ocelot, which for some reason, I just can't get out of my head... Gumbo was fantastic and the 2 new songs were decent. Second set was phenominal! Killer Carini, Wilson, 2001, and then to make an already awesome night better, I finally got the piano solo I've been waiting for. this was the 44th show for me, and the first time I've gotten to see The Squirming Coil. Wow, it was worth the wait! All in all, one of the best shows I've seen!
