The lineup for the 2008 Wakarusa Music Festival just got announced. Dang! Buckethead has two sets, including a late-night? Ozric Tentacles have confirmed visas??!?!?

This is actually a pretty eclectic-looking lineup to me, besides from the festival staples like The Flaming Lips and Keller Williams (not that there’s anything really wrong with those examples). They went out a limb in a couple spots and I’m sure it’ll make for an interesting fest this year. Read on for the full lineup announced. If you’re going, it’s June 5-8 and still in Lawrence, Kansas — remember to mind the local police.

This IS an electic line-up, and any music-lover should be excited about the prospect of catching even just a few of those bands.

But don’t worry about local law enforcement. The article above is from ’06, when there were actually guys with night-vision goggles in the trees trying to catch emerging Rostifarians. Things were much more hospitable last year, and every indication is that this year there will once again be a reasonable police presence.
