I'm heading to both B/R Duo sets tomorrow night, which should be pretty awesome. I don't plan on any festivals this summer either (good friends getting married and an earlier trip to Amsterdam have sucked up all my vacation days).

I DID get tickets to the UM/Disco Biscuits show in McCarren Park, Brooklyn for August. That show should be SIIIIIIIIICK.

Apostle of Hustle does indeed rock.

I don't understand the appeal of Menomena though. I saw them open for the Long Winters a while back and the show was atrocious. The three of them played a bunch of different instruments... That's about the only positive thing I could say about the show. They rarely played those instruments in any kind of discernible unison... I dunno, it was just bad. I keep hearing great things about them though so I guess I should check out the record.
