Very nice, thanks. Duane Allman in the next one is a no-brainer. Also, check out some of Brock Butler's playing, either solo or in Pgroove. He only plays lap steel on maybe a third of the songs, but he builds some phenomenal loops with it. AIM, Occam's Blazer, As Far As I Go all jump to mind as examples.

thanks Kane! I appreciate the comment/compliment. technically speaking, it's actually my second podcast, but it IS the first one I put together all by lonesome.

And yes, NRPS is definitely on the list for a possible version II, but I've been having a tough time with audio quality and choosing the right tune. You may be right about Jerry being the impetus for NRPS coming together. He definitely played pedal steel with them, but I think it was only sporadically over a few years. that said, the other pedal players I've heard with them are great too.

I'm hoping to find some better recordings of Robert Randolph, Sneaky Pete (Flying Burrito Bros), Leo Kotke, and Jerry Douglas (famous bluegrass dobro guy who's amazing!). If I stick with the bluesy stuff, I'll have to at least represent with some Duane Allman. Lots to choose from!

And an FYI: it'll probably at least be a few weeks until I re-visit this theme, unless people go nuts and start begging for it!?! We'll see.

Nice job for a first podcast (on LMB anyways, correct?). I've been listening to this a lot the last few days, looking forward towards No. 2. Perhaps some NRPS? I'm told the entire formation of the band was for Jerry to mess around with slide guitar...
