The 2007 Green Apple Music Festival has expanded to two more cities, Chicago and San Francisco, on top of their inaugural year in New York City. The festival is geared towards raising awareness for Earth Day and kicks off on April 20th.
After digging through some recent tour announcements, we’ve now got early confirmations of at least three five bands slated to play the Chicago portion of the festival:
-Umphrey’s McGee: 4/21 in Chicago (venue TBA) – “performing a very special Green Apple Music Festival show in Chicago; details to come soon”
-Brothers Past – 4/20 and 4/21 @ the Beat Kitchen in Chicago: “returning for a two-night stand at the Beat Kitchen in Chicago, as part of the Green Apple Festival”
-Assembly of Dust – 4/20 in Chicago (venue TBA) for the “green apple music festival”)
-Mofro and New Monsoon – 4/20 @ the House of Blues in Chicago
With the expansion to a total of three cities, this “festival” seems to be picking up a decent amount of steam. Anybody hearing rumors about shows in SF or NYC?
