The annual Coachella Music Festival in California is expanding for 2007 — the festival will now be three days. Also, it’ll be followed up by a two-day country music festival? Zuh?
Not a huge surprise that they’ve made the change. I mean, every major fest that’s every major fest needs to be three days. There’s just too much going on and too much planning to try and fit it all in…
If you remember, last year’s rumor mill went nuts on this festival lineup, so let’s all go nuts and expect the same thing this year.
Seriously, though — who the hell could have called that Madonna would be added to this bill? The indie kids surely brought the elbows on that one.

I’ve seen many live performances (Thievery Corp in Chicago; Bassment Jaxx in Toronto; etc) but that was by far the best live show ever. I watch the MPEG I took of Around the World being mixed in and the hair still stands up on my arm.
Pri-Madonna – never let her near Coachella again. 3 hour sound check? Get over yourself.
I’m praying for Faithless to close the Sunday at Coachella. Their set at V last year was a spiritual happening.

My 15 year old and two of her friends want to go to Coachella this year. Is it safe for them to go alone? How about if one parent comes along?
