Vandal-ize

Man, I was a huge punk rock fan back in high school…

One of my favorites bands back then was The Vandals (more on the band here). One of my favorites albums back then was Sweatin’ to the Oldies: Vandals Live. I probably listened to this album more times than any other album…ever…

And to the potential haters, just give both tracks a listen first before you blast it. The legend of Pat Brown. “Yeah, you funny, too!!!!!” Illa zilla, Lady Killer? The solos in both tunes alone speak easily to my progression through genres and love for Umphrey’s McGee and their dual-attack shredders…

Warning: these mp3′s are not necessarily safe for work or small children…

A friend of mine got it on with Warren, the guitarist, in the closet next to the stage at Fireside Bowl. It’s practically her “claim to fame” with us to this day…
