“Due to a family matter, Scott Metzger will not be able to join us in Chicago for the planned Bustle in your Hedgerow Lollapalooza aftershow on Sunday August 6th. However, don’t be alarmed, Dave, Marco and Joe have confirmed a very special guest performer sitting in for Scott for one night only. We are thrilled to have this guest on board for what is sure to be a special occasion…see y’all in Chi-town on Sunday. Still haven’t picked up your tickets for this one yet? Don’t sleep on it, head over to SilverWrapper.com to buy your’s today.” [Benevento/Russo Duo]

I’m guessing Trey. Anyone got any other ideas?

Update: Confirmed. Brendan Bayliss from Umphrey’s McGee will be the special guest. Snatch up ‘dem tix!

Trey is a good guess because he’s off and playing in Detroit on the 8th… But I think a better guess would be one of the members of Umphrey’s who will be in town all week with a side project show, lollapalooza and the star spangled banner/acoustic performance at US Cellular Field.

Of course, I’d be thrilled if it was Mark Hague from Hackenwheeze and Mr. Blotto.

Nah, Trey is too much of a geezer to start a show at 11:00. I saw The Duo and The Slip do a 20 minute Immigrant Song jam @ Northeastern (AFAIK tapes don’t circulate) so my prediction is Brad Barr. Though Bustle might go with someone more famous. I’m surprised the show isn’t sold out yet.

I’d bet on one of the two geetarists for that Chicago-based band with the weird name.
