The dudes at Silver Wrapper have announced the Wicker Park Summerfest, scheduled for July 22-23, 2006 down in the heart of Chicago’s Wicker Park. I went and saw the Benevento Russo Duo there last year and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

There’s a pre-party earlier in the week with the New Deal, and the festival has spots lined up for Robert Walter’s Super Heavy Organ (w/ Karl Denson), Brothers Past, Future Rock, MOFRO, Chris Berry & Panjea, , and much more TBA soon. Shweeeeeet….

    Yeah, this festival is great because it’s totally small and there are all the elements of a street festival in Chicago with some higher caliber talent signed on. I’m going to try and be around for this.
