I’m definately not driving 15hrs to see radio head. I’ve been to all but the first bonnaroo, and i might say that the vibe has changed along w\ the ticket price. You can’t put a price on seeing a redition of “up on cripple creek” w\ dave and trey. But you can put a price on radio head’s “Creep” that’s about $19.95 at a local radio show concert.
I will on the other hand be missing a few great bands such as oysterhead, and blues traveler(from their 2001 performance w\moe) and many others, i guess they want people to leave early like sunday night so they have radiohead playing last.
that’s just my opinion.

Boy people sure get bent when people dis there opinions. But wait! That’s just it! These are ALL opinions! Oh well! IMHO I think the fest has slipped. Improv is where its at. It’s music IN THE NOW. It changes form and or shape shifts right before your ears! If I want to hear a band recite their music, I’ll go see them on their own tour. I go to Bonnarroo to see bands take songs you recognize and give you a fresh take on them. Doesn’t always turn out to be your favorite version, but its deffinately NEW and unrehearsed sounding. Just my 2¢
