So, I’m on the train on the way home listening to a very nice Disco Biscuits set from the recent Jam in the Dam festival. I posted the links for the Archive.org download a couple days back. So far, they’re the only Jam in the Dam sets up on Archive as well as etree.org. I’m looking and looking. If anyone knows where I can download the other sets, drop me a line.
I’m in the middle of one sweet spacebirdmatingcall jam. It’s one of the better musical sequences from the Jam in the Dam shows that I’ve heard so far. Right as the jam starts to get super-techno, a fan shouts louder than imaginable…
Take you fucking skirts off!
I’m pretty sure that I heard this correctly. I don’t think it was shirts. Who was he talking to? Some ladies in the crowd? Why does he care about sex and nakedness right in the middle of this jam? That’s slightly odd. Plus, why not yell Freebird like everyone else would? Were you yelling at the Disco Biscuits?
If anyone knows who said this, try and get them to comment here. I want a full explanation. Let’s get to the bottom of this silly, little exclaimation…

For a limited time LiveWidespreadPanic.com is offering free mp3 downloads of Widespread Panic’s latest three shows – 3/24, 3/25, and 3/26, at the Fox Theatre, in Atlanta, GA. All you have to do is register for a free account. Flac files of these shows cost $15.95 but if you don’t mind mp3s it’s a great deal. The shows sound great and I can’t wait to see them on my 25th birthday this Wednesday in Cincinnati!
Wow! You’ve got to give it up to these tapers that already have the Disco Biscuits sets from Jam in the Dam up on the Archive. Props to the tapers that get out there and put out these tasty treats for all of us to enjoy. I have listened to so much free live music over the past few years that has more than made up for every over-priced ticket I’ve ever paid.

It’s been announced: Tom Petty and The Black Crowes are going to be playing a slew of dates this summer. All the community sites are going crazy over The Black Crowes right now, and it appears that they’re playing stronger than ever.
These dates look nice. I’d like to see more than one night at Deer Creek, and I’m fucking there. Tom Petty at Deer Creek in 2002 was one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen.

I’ve always loved almost everything about Phantasy Tour, and particularly Phantasy Phish back in the day. They’ve got some good stuff up there right now…
Rumors:
# [3.22.05] Summer Trey tour with Ben Harper to feature other supporting acts.
# [3.21.05] Chris Kuroda will be running lights for the Black Crowes, beginning with their first show at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom.
# [3.17.05] Ben Harper will be on a later tour with Trey, while Particle will be opening a show or two on the current tour. Other opening acts are undetermined at this point, however fans can expect some unexpected names to surface as time goes on. Mike Gordon will not be opening any shows.
This is about 50% confirmed right now. Way to go, my friend. That’s a good rumor site if I’ve ever seen one. He’s got the inside scoop. I need this guy’s contact. Seriously, I need it. The Trey Anastasio summer tour is going to be cool, and I’m hoping on checking the first leg of the tour by catching his Auditorium Theater show.

News:
Chris Kuroda Adds Light To Black Crowes
I am actually surprised by this. In the Relix issue that featured the Phish retrospective, Kuroda said he was going to be done touring with a band. What a wookie…
Page and Trey both jammed at one of the recent shows of the annual, 10-night Allman Brothers’ Band Beacon Theater run.
10 shows! Jesus Christ. That’s disgusting.
The lineup for Hookahville in Columbus, OH (May 28th – 30th) has been posted:
Sam Bush, Particle, The Wailers, Ralph Stanley & His Clinch Mountain Boys, Galactic, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Mike Perkins, Drew Emmitt Band, Brandon Creasman, and of course 2 nights of Ekoostik Hookah.
pretty solid list imho… also Chris Kuroda (from Phish) will be running lights, which is always a phenomenal thing to see.
Seriously, what’s wrong with this picture?

Note: this is not a hard question. In fact, it’s easy if you’ve read this blog for any period of time.
