these bluegrass/folk guys played a free show at this record store. it was so good. old folks, young folks, rockers, punks, hippies, a guy in steel toed work boots (that was me), we all had a good time! i watched the instruments breath the music. i couldn’t believe it. the ring-leader/violinist’s name is ketch. the banjo player’s name is critter. that explains a lot. they hadn’t been to california before. they were nervous. i don’t know why; they were so well versed in their craft, they made everyone else feel inadequate.
