phish tour reviews (jambands.com)

jesse jarnow of jambands.com has posted a wonderful review of the the first show of the final tour. although i have disagreed with him in the past (read on), i have to say that he has peaked my interest in how phish is going to finish up their career. does anyone wonder if this is for real? is this a hoax? similar to the andy kaufman faking his own death blog? some people say that this could be the biggest prank that phish has ever pulled. i doubt it. at any rate, read the review and be jealous that you’re not going to coventry. or if you are going, i’m jealous.

that’s a good review…it sounds like phish is saving themselves for coventry. they’ll probably go balls out this weekend – and i will miss it :(

it’s a good enough review for me to download the show. i think that phish is just trying to go out in the same style that they came in; doing something that no one expects them to do. personally, i don’t expect phish to play standard setlists for these final shows. judging from the early summer tour, i think that’s all they’re planning on doing. although, i would like to see them unlock the mysteries of the pyramids and hand out maps to atlantis. that’d be cool…
